by admin on Jan.08, 2010, under PlayStation Portable
The advent of technology has made it possible for everything to be portable. This is why Sony has released its Sony Playstation Portable, popularly known as PSP. This toy is a marvel and is not really a toy.
Although it is popular for its computer games, Sony Playstation has evolved into something else. People can now watch movies and listen to MP3s in this gadget. Ultimately, people can watch music videos in PSP provided that it has enough disk capacity to sustain PSP music videos.
Multitudes of people can be seen walking the street with a PSSP unit. What used to be a Walkman is now a PSP, with more features. Before, a Walkman can only play music. PSP can play videos, play games, and even music videos.
To download PSP music videos, you need to be careful since there might be virus attacks from malicious people pretending to offer free PSP music video downloads. You should only get PSP music videos from trusted and reliable sources.
It is also pretty much easy to download music videos for PSP. All that you need is a memory stick, a USB cable. Once the USB cable is connected to the PSP and to the computer, your computer should be able to detect the memory stick on your PSP. Then you simply transfer the music video files you want.
If you want to get unlimited PSP music videos, I recommend you join a paid PSP download site. These PSP membership sites allow you to download unlimited PSP music videos for a one time fee. There are no download limits and the download speeds are faster. Besides downloadable PSP music videos, you can also download unlimited PSP games and movies.
How Do I Download Music to My Psp
by admin on Jan.07, 2010, under PlayStation Portable
How do anyone like I download music to my psp device from the personal computer? All you need simply is a USB cable to connect your psp device to the personal computer. Yes, it’s that simple and here are the main steps, I like to share with everyone, on how do I download music to my psp device.
A. PSP device to personal computer connection
Firstly, use the USB cable to connect your psp device to your personal computer. Then press on the psp “home” button, which is at the lower left of the psp screen. Look for the “settings” selection by using the left-right directional buttons to navigate and then from there, search for the “USB Connection” on the psp device by using the top-down buttons and then press the X button (round bottom marked X) to confirm your selection. You should now be able to see a USB connection on your psp device.
B. Create a download folder
By now, your computer has already detected a new USB device on the hard drive. Click the drive, usually will be your last alphabetical drive, which corresponds to your psp memory card. Create a new folder inside that drive and you can name the folder as “music download” or any other title you want to use.
C. Download Music from your personal computer to psp
You can now start to copy your favorite music files from your personal computer onto the new folder that you have created in your psp device.
NOTE: Please take note that psp’s using the older software runs only on mp3 format. And also the older software runs inside the psp device does not support the WMA & WMV music formats. We will discuss more later.
Once you have completed downloading the music to the new folder, press O on the psp to exit the USB connection mode. Then on your psp device, look for the “memory stick” at the music section by using the up-down arrows for navigation. Then press the X button again to enter your selection. You should be able to find all the music files, which you have downloaded.
Note that you need to upgrade your psp firmware if you really needs or wants to play the WMA and WMV audio files. Newer firmware versions of Sony for example, can play WMA & WMV files directly on your psp. Otherwise, you can also convert the files to mp3 format. There are many ways to do this. An easier way is to use free Windows application Switch. This is easily available in the Internet. First, in the windows media player, rip the music file that you want to convert. Then you need to run the Switch software, create a new folder or output folder and select the output format. In the output format, you will have a choice to select mp3. Once you are done, you now have converted your WMA audio file to an mp3 file.
Now you can enjoy listening to the music that you have downloaded to your psp. Just repeat the easy steps above whenever you have additional music to download onto your psp device.

How To Download Music To Your PSP Without Breaking A Sweat
by admin on Nov.08, 2009, under PlayStation Portable
The Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) is the latest revolutionary multimedia player released by Sony. This is a unit which can be used for all your entertainment needs as you can play movies, music, games and browse the internet using it. There is no need of buying any discs or files for your music needs on the PSP. It is possible to PSP download music from the internet for your listening pleasure.
To download music to the PSP, you first have to check if the music you intend to download on the PSP is an mp3 or mp4 file. This is because if the music that you choose is not in the proper format, you have to convert the music and video files to the right format before you can actually play them on the PSP.
There is a useful program, called the ImTOO PSP Music Suite that has the ImTOO CD Ripper and ImTOO PSP Video Converter which is used for the downloading and playing of music and video files on the PSP. With this software, it is possible to convert files into either mp3 or mp4 files.
For PSP download music of mp3 files, you have to first connect the computer to the PSP using a USB cable. Make sure that the computer detects the new USB device connection. Then you have to check the My Computer icon where there should be another drive listed corresponding to the PSP. This drive is usually E or F. This drive has to be opened and a new folder created to be renamed to PSP.
This PSP folder has to be opened to create a new folder that is renamed MUSIC. With this done, you can transfer mp3 files on the computer by opening the MUSIC folder in the PSP drive and then copy pasting the desired mp3 files into the folder. Once this is done, you just have to remove the USB connection.
If you want to download CD songs to the PSP, the CD Ripper has to be installed to the computer. After this, the music CD has to be loaded on the CD drive. You will find an ‘Extract and Encode’ button on the CD ripper program which has to be clicked on. With this, it is possible to convert and transfer the songs from the CD to the PSP. However, before doing this, make sure that the right PSP format is selected.
When transferring music files from the iTunes to the PSP, the music has to be converted to an mp3 file as iTunes music is in mp4 format. Launching the PSP Video Converter program, the mp4 files you want converted have to be loaded by clicking the ‘Add’ button on the file menu. On selecting the files you want, they are displayed in the Converter program.
Highlighting these files and selecting PSP audio format as the output format is the next step. You then select the folder you want to save the converted files in. with this; you get mp3 files that have to be transferred to the PSP as mentioned above. With this done, you find that PSP download music is not as complicated as first envisioned!

by admin on Oct.30, 2009, under PlayStation Portable
So you finally got your new PSP ! I’m sure you are eager to explore it and play all your favorite games. But do you know you can do a lot more with your PSP? Apart from playing games, you can play music and movies, browse the internet and run many other programs. But to do all that you need to have some technical knowledge which unfortunately your PSP doesn’t give you.
In this article I am going to tell you exactly how to put music to your PSP in simple steps.
First things first, keep in mind that your PSP will not play all the music formats. It can play only MP3 files (plus some other formats such as WAV and WMA if you have the latest firmware). In this article I’ll tell how to put MP3 files to your PSP. The method to put other music files is exactly the same.
If you want to play music of any other format in your PSP; for example music from your CD; you have to convert it to one of the above formats.
You have two options in this case:
1) Convert the music files to MP3 format on your computer and then transfer them to PSP.
2) Use a CD ripper to copy music from the CD to the PSP directly.
First let’s discuss how to copy music when you have your favorite music in MP3 format on your computer. Here’s how to copy music to your PSP:
1) Connect your PSP to your computer via a USB cable. Your computer will immediately detect a new USB device.
2) In the “My Computer” section you should see a new drive letter. That’s your PSP! Mostly it will be the last drive in “My Computer” section.
3) In “My Computer” section click on the new drive letter to see its contents. Look if it has a PSP folder and a MUSIC folder inside it.
If you can’t see any folders simply create them. Create a new folder called PSP. Double click on PSP folder and create a folder called MUSIC. This is where all your music files will be stored. Don’t create any other folder inside the MUSIC folder as PSP won’t recognize be able to read it!
4) Locate the music files to be copied then Select and Copy them. Use the standard windows commands to do this (Click on the files to select them and then click Edit and Copy in the menu, or right click and select Copy , or press Ctrl and C together). Then select the MUSIC folder of your PSP drive and paste the files. Again use the standard windows commands (Click on Edit and Paste in the menu, or right click and select Paste o, or press Ctrl and V together)
5) When you’re finished with the copying, remove the USB connection and you’re done.
Now let’s see how to copy music to your PSP from the CD directly.
1) Connect your PSP to your computer via a USB cable and locate (or create) the MUSIC folder as explained in steps 1-3 above.
2) You’ll need a CD Ripper software to convert music. There are many CD rippers available on the internet. Download and Install one that can convert music from an Audio CD directly to PSP.
3) Load the music CD in the CD drive. Start the CD Ripper program and you’ll see “Extract and Encode” button. Click on the button and it’ll covert and transfer songs to your PSP. Make sure you select the PSP format. When you’re finished with copying, remove the USB connection.
There you are, now your PSP is fully loaded with all your favorite songs and music albums for you to enjoy!
